VERTIGO
Description
From a place beyond time, a young woman speaks to us. She is one of those women whose pale bodies you’ll see lying in morgues or thrown in shallow graves in film and on tv: a woman who was murdered and dismembered. This is her story. She experienced homelessness and substance abuse, she was a sex worker, she fell in love, she had two children and had those children taken away from her, and then, when she was still very young, a stranger murdered her and cut her body into seven pieces. Since then, she has watched those she left behind: her two children, their father, her best friend, her parents. And she has thought about her death. Vertigo is an elegy over a life cut too short; a brutal story about love and tenderness and about finding a light in absolute darkness.
