Description

Professor Blankenburg, the head of an intensive care unit, faces the difficult task of coordinating the allocation of life-saving resources, particularly ventilators. Her professional decisions are complicated by personal crises — above all, her husband’s struggle with Parkinson’s disease, which demands all her attention and emotional strength — making her situation even more desperate.

Dr. Bozic, meanwhile, wrestles with the principles of medical ethics while also dealing with his wife’s long-awaited pregnancy and an affair with his colleague, Dr. Majewski. They are all caught up in intense conflicts and moral dilemmas of the kind medical professionals face in extreme circumstances. Against the backdrop of a major fire disaster and the resulting overload of the hospital, an atmosphere of mounting tension emerges, forcing doctors to make rapid, often unbearable decisions about life and death.

TRIAGE offers a compelling portrayal of the harsh reality faced by those confronted with the darker side of their vocation, where every decision, for or against, has the potential both to save and to destroy.
